Linus Torvalds, creator of the soon-to-be dominant Linux OS, has some opinions of Windows NT. He thinks it is suffering from terminal and uncontrolled code bloat, which will render it useless in about 2 years. Look out for a new (from the ground up) Microsoft OS, probably for 64 bit machines. It would also probably adopt the latest (read Unix-style) OS architecture, using known or proven (read open or alternative source) approaches to things like SMP, networking and clusters.
